The point of a dedicated collection rather than a note on a general itinerary is that the practical details have to be arranged in advance, not asked about on arrival: certified halal meals along the route rather than a vegetarian substitution, prayer time and prayer space built into the day's plan rather than squeezed around it, and hotels chosen for what they can actually cater for. Vietnam has a real Muslim community and real halal-certified kitchens, but they are not evenly spread, and a route that works in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City needs planning to work in Sapa or Ha Long.
