Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Rai (-)

Upon your arrival in Chiang Rai, enjoy your free time to relax at leisure or take a gentle stroll around the city to soak in the atmosphere.
Overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 2: Exploring Chiang Rai City (B)

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to the bustling local market to explore fresh produce and local specialties. Continue to Wat Phra Kaew, once home to the revered Emerald Buddha, and then to Wat Phra Singh, which houses one of Thailand’s most exquisite Buddha statues.
Next, take a short drive to the extraordinary Black House (Baan Dam), the visionary creation of renowned national artist Thawan Duchanee. A fascinating blend of art studio, museum, and residence, Baan Dam is a fusion of traditional northern Thai architecture and striking contemporary design.
In the afternoon (after lunch on your own), embark on a Mae Kok River cruise from Chiang Rai to a Karen village, where you’ll have a chance to observe or feed elephants in their natural environment.
Return and overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 3: Golden Triangle Discovery & Departure (B)

After breakfast, head towards Chiang Saen, an ancient city steeped in history along the banks of the Mekong River. Visit the House of Opium Museum, offering insights into the opium trade’s influence on the region. Enjoy lunch at your leisure at a local eatery near the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos converge.
Cap off the trip with a boat ride on the Mekong River, witnessing the unique point where the three countries meet. Afterwards, transfer back to Chiang Rai Airport for your onward flight.
