DAY 1: VIENTIANE ARRIVAL

On arrival in Vientiane, you will be welcomed by local tour guide and transfer to hotel in Vientiane – the country’s charming capital, with its laidback riverside ambience, and alluring monuments. You’ll spend the night in Vientiane.

DAY 2: VIENTIANE CITY TOUR (B)

Today is devoted to explore the peaceful city of Vientiane, highlights included:  Vat PhraKeo - which was built in 1565 is one of the most impressive and interesting temples in Vientiane. It previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha image. Vat Sisaket- which is famous for not only its cloister wall storing thousands of tiny Buddha images but also its beautiful architecture and layout with history dated back to 1818.  Pha That Louang (built 1566, reconstructed 1930). It is the most important Laotian religious and national monument. The temple has an unique architecture reflecting Lao culture and identity, becoming a symbol of Lao nationalism. 

 Patuxay-the memorial monument –was built in 1957 and is the most prominent landmark in the city. The architecture of the monument was inspired by the architecture of Triomphe in Paris and combined with typical Lao motifs. From the top of the monument, you can see an excellent panoramic view of the city. Talat Sao market where you can do some shopping.

 In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to the famous Buddha Park, located 25km from the city. The park is home for over 200 statues of Buddha and characters of Hinduism made by concrete, especially the enormous Buddhist statue which is 40m in length propping its arm. Furthermore, there are many other statues in shapes of human, Godheads, animals and Lucifer. Visitors can get inside the enormous monuments in shape of a pumpkin through a monster’s mount which is 3 meters high. You can also visit all floors symbolizing for Hell, Underworld, and Heaven. You’ll spent the night in Vientiane.

DAY 3: VIENTIANE – OUDOMXAY – NAM KAT (B)

Early morning breakfast at the hotel, 07:50 we take the high-speed train to Oudomxay. Oudomxay Province is home to a mixture of 23 ethnic minority groups. On arrival in Oudomxay at 10h46 a.m, you will be picking up by driver and transfer to Nam Kat Yorlapa. Situated in Oudomxay province in North Eastern Laos, this area is truly one of the most beautiful and desired eco-tourism destinations in Laos and South East Asia. You will experience the complete wonder, exotic beauty, ethnic culture, thrilling adventure, the natural serenity and the biodiversity of the flora and fauna all in one place in Laos. Relax by the pool, ride a complimentary bicycle on the paved paths, explore the forest area at your leisure or simple rest on the balcony of the restaurant listing to the sounds of the wildlife and watching the stream pass you by (activities available e.g. Zip line, Spider net, waterfall visit, ATV… on client’s selection and own expense-not include in package)

DAY 4: NAM KAT – PAKBENG (B)

Breakfast, we continue to Pakbeng on the banks of the Mekong River. We make a few rest stops along the way, giving you the opportunity to see the ethnic minority groups such as Hmong, Khmu, Black Thai and Lue. The hill tribe people are unfailingly friendly, welcoming you with waving hands and smiling faces. Arrived at late afternoon we check in to our hotel and your evening is free to explore or relax at the hotel.

DAY 5: PAKBENG (B, L)

we head for day activities, your guide will take you to villages by 7 Km north of Pakbeng town to visit the Khmu villages on a red-soil road, passing small forests, rice fields, some spectacular scenery and a rustic village with wooden bamboo houses. Stop along the way for photo ops of the local children and hard-working farmers in the field. On arrival at the home of a Khmu family at Ban kham village, take part in daily life, including some step of peeling rice by hand During your time in the village, your guide will introduce you to some traditional customs of the Khmu people and how difference between three biggest ethnic groups in Laos, back to town for lunch and afternoon, we visit temple at Wat Sichomjeng, Wat Kokkormingmoungkhoun.

DAY 6: PAKBENG – LUANG PRABANG – BY PRIVATE BOAT (B, L)

8:00am: The boat leaves Pakbeng. The boat departs for another day of impressive nature landscapes all along the river. 2 stops are planned during the afternoon.

Use your free time in the morning for asking some questions about Luang Prabang and Laos the guide.

12:30pm: Lunch is served on board. You will taste traditional Lao food with several dishes.

1:00pm: After the lunch, the first stop will be at Pak Ou to visit the famous Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting) and its thousands of Buddha images.

2:30pm: Next step, the Lao Lao village, commonly known as the Whiskey Village.

In there, the guide will provide information about the locally made rice whisky, and you will have the chance to taste it if you wish.

You will also have time to enjoy the charm of this small and authentic village, its temple and local artisans.

You will be served some local snacks and fresh fruits before arrival.
You will arrive in Luang Prabang around 4:30pm. Here is the end of the cruise. However, we can also offer to reserve for you your hotel for the night of your arrival at Luang Prabang

DAY 7: LUANG PRABANG CITY TOUR – KHOANG SI (B)

This morning you have the option and opportunity to rise early and participate in the daily morning ritual of Alms Giving, you will experience saffron-clad monks collecting offerings or ‘Alms’ from faithful local residents. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the daily procession.

After breakfast we will head out to see the city’s oldest temples, the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts from the Royal period in Luang Prabang, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roof sweeping low to the ground representing classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. From here we drive to Khouangsi

On arrival at the Khouangsi Waterfall you will have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails and visit the Bear Sanctuary. Returning to town late afternoon we climb to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred gilded stupa and to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the sun setting over the Mekong River. 

Decenting the mountain your will find yourself in the midst of the famous Luang Prabang Night Market, where you can find a unique selection of handmade textiles and handicrafts locally made by both ethnic Lao and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Your evening is free to explore the Night Market and sample some local cuisine at one of the many restaurants the town has to offer. DAY 8: LUANG PRABANG– DEPARTURE (B)
