Overview

Once known as the “Hell on Earth,” Con Dao Island bears the scars of a painful past. Under French and American rule, this island was the site of some of the most inhumane prison systems in Southeast Asia. On this deeply moving historical tour, you’ll explore sites that witnessed unimaginable cruelty—now preserved as powerful reminders of Vietnam’s resistance and resilience. From the infamous Tiger Cages to the solemn tomb of national hero Vo Thi Sau, this experience offers a sobering look into the island’s role in Vietnam’s fight for independence.
