Day 2: Siem Reap- Angkor Temples by Tuk Tuk (B)

Your day will begin with a delicious breakfast before being picked up by your tour guide and transported via tuk tuk to the Angkor Temple Complex. Your first stop will be the renowned jungle temple Angkor Thom, famously featured in the movie Tomb Raider. Access to Angkor Thom is granted through the South Gate, which was once part of one of the largest cities in Asia during its prime. The Bayon, also located here, is known as the face temple due to its numerous towers adorned with four Buddha faces.

The Terrace of the Elephants is another must-see attraction. As you explore this impressive complex, you will also have the opportunity to visit smaller yet equally stunning temples before witnessing the breathtaking sunset at Angkor Wat. After a full day of exploration, you will be transported back to your hotel in the late afternoon to rest and relax for the remainder of the day.

Stay overnight: Siem Reap | Meals: Breakfast

Day 3: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples (B)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a journey to the Banteay Srei temple, which is intricately carved and well-preserved. We will travel on a newly paved road to reach the temple, making a stopover at the Preah Dark village on the way. Our next destination will be the Banteay Samre Temple, which is adorned with impressive reliefs depicting scenes of Vishunu and Krishna legends. In the afternoon, we will drive 18km towards Tonle Sap, where we will enjoy a private boat ride with a guide on the largest permanent freshwater lake in South East Asia.

The lake flows into Tonle Sap River, which joins the Mekong in Phnom Penh. During the boat ride, we will witness a fishermen's "floating village" that includes floating schools, a floating police station, and more. This village moves from place to place following water levels and currents, resembling a big village floating on the lake. We will spend the night in Siem Reap.

Stay overnight: Siem Reap | Meals: Breakfast

Day 4: Siem Reap – Battambang (B/L)

Following breakfast, you will be transported to Battambang, a delightful metropolis boasting a plethora of elegant French colonial-style houses lining the river. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel for check-in. Later in the day, take a leisurely stroll through the town to admire its stunning colonial architecture.

Stay overnight: Battambang | Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 5: Battambang Tours in Tuk Tuk (B/L)

Begin your day by visiting Wat Samrong Knong, followed by Ek Phnom Temple, an 11th century Angkorian-era ruin originally built as a Hindu temple under Suryavarman I. The temple is comprised of prasats on a platform, with some carvings in good condition. Adjacent to the ruin is Wat Ek Phnom, a modern pagoda. The drive to Ek Phnom from Battambang along the river road is a picturesque journey through small villages and rice paddies. Take a moment to visit a local market where Prahoc, a Cambodian fish paste, is made. Next, explore the spot where locals steam-sticky rice cooked in bamboo. Return to town for a brief stroll through the local market. End your day tour by visiting the bamboo train village, where you can enjoy the unique experience of sliding on this amusing train.

Stay overnight: Battambang | Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 6: Battambang – Phnom Penh (B)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Phnom Penh by land. During the journey, we will make a stop at the Silversmith village, where we can witness the skilled craftsmanship of the locals. We will also visit the pottery manufactories in Kompong Chhnang and explore a bustling fish market. Once we arrive in Phnom Penh, we will check into our hotel.

Stay overnight: Phnom Penh | Meals: Breakfast

Day 7: Phnom Penh (B)

Begin your day with a visit to the National Museum, where you can view over 5000 objects on display, including Angkorian era statues, lingas, and other artifacts. Next, head to the Royal Palace, which is currently the residence of His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families. After that, visit the Tuol Sleng Museum, also known as the S-21 prison, which was used as a prison by Pol Pot's security forces.

Over 17,000 people were held at S-21 and taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Finally, drive to the "Killing Fields" of Choeng Ek, located 15 km south of Phnom Penh. Between 1975 and 1978, approximately 17,000 men, women, children, and infants (including nine westerners) were detained and tortured at the S-21 prison before being transported to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek. If time permits, visit the Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), which is known for its affordable clothing, Buddha images, woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic musical instruments.

Stay overnight: Phnom Penh | Meals: Breakfast

Day 8: Phnom Penh –Mondulkiri (B/L)

The tour guide will collect you from your hotel after breakfast and take you on a journey to the stunning province of Mondulkiri, which is often overlooked by travel companies due to its remote location. However, we believe that this lesser-known and less touristy part of Cambodia is well worth a visit. During the long but captivating drive to Sen Monorom, you will have the opportunity to visit Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei, also known as the men's and women's mountains. From the temple at the mountain peak, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views before heading to Wat Hanchey pagoda, which dates back to the 8th century and was a significant religious center during the Chenla period.

This location also offers the best views of the Mekong River in Cambodia. Additionally, you will stop at a rubber plantation in Memot district before arriving at your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to rest and relax.

Stay overnight: Mondulkiri | Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 9: Mondulkiri Project (B/L)

Following breakfast, you will be transported to the project site, which can be found at https://www.mondulkiriproject.org. Here, you will have the opportunity to acquaint yourself with our magnificent elephants by feeding them and accompanying them on a walk through our safeguarded forest. A delectable Cambodian lunch will be served at our jungle lodge, where you can unwind in hammocks. Later in the day, we will embark on a walk to a waterfall for a refreshing swim and to bathe our elephants. After bidding farewell to these gentle giants, we will return to the Jungle Lodge on foot before being chauffeured back to Sen Monorom.

Stay overnight: Mondulkiri | Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 10: Mondulkiri (B/L)

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast before embarking on a journey to explore the diverse flora and fauna of Mondulkiri. Take a break at the stunning Bousra Waterfalls, which boasts a three-stage cascade that creates a natural swimming pool, perfect for visitors during the summer months. Capture the beauty of the waterfall in pictures, as it stands tall at tens of meters high and is beautifully wide. There are no marked trails, allowing you to take your time to explore and even take a dip in one of the pools.

A picnic lunch will be provided for you at the waterfall. Next, visit the coffee plantation and learn about the popular good. The coffee plantations in the northeast of Cambodia are struggling to meet the increasing international demand for these lucrative beans. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee at the small restaurant in the plantation, where the furniture is made from the wood of the coffee tree. After a pleasant coffee break, head to the Sen Monorom Waterfall and enjoy the charming sunset in Mondulkiri from the northeast corner of the beautiful temple, Wat Phnom Doh Kromom. On your way back, visit the Samot Cheur (Ocean of Trees), which offers a magnificent view over the emerald green forests. Finally, take the rest of the day to rest and relax.

Stay overnight: Mondulkiri | Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 11: Mondulkiri – Stueng Treng (B)

Following breakfast, you will have some leisure time until departing Siem Reap for Stung Treng. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel to unwind and rejuvenate. Your stay in Stung Treng will be overnight.

Stay overnight: Stueng Treng | Meals: Breakfast

Day 12: Stueng Treng (B/L)

Begin your day with breakfast and embark on a 1.5 hour drive towards the northern region, close to the Laos border. From there, take a boat ride to the Mekong River, where you will witness the magnificent Mekong waterfalls and its deep water pools. Take a closer look at the waterfall and visit a nearby fishing village to learn about traditional medicines used by the locals to treat malaria, fever, and diarrhea.

Head towards the southern tip of Hang Khone, one of the 4000 islands in the area, and explore an old French ferry port and train tracks used during the Indochina war. Spot the rare Irrawaddy dolphins that reside in the deep water pools by boat after lunch. Continue your adventure by kayaking through the "flooded forest" and "Ramsar wetlands," home to various bird species. Observe trees protruding from the water, with branches that have grown in the direction of the current over the years, and small islands scattered throughout. Conclude your day by returning to the car via longtail boat and heading back to Stung Treng.

Stay overnight: Stueng Treng | Meals: Breakfast | Lunch

Day 13: Stueng Treng – Kratie (B)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a drive to Kratie, a charming town situated on the banks of the Mekong River. Kratie is renowned for its population of Irrawaddy dolphins, with approximately sixty of these magnificent creatures residing in the area. Later in the day, we will board a boat to observe these freshwater dolphins up close.

Stay overnight: Kratie | Meals: Breakfast

Day 14: Kratie – Phnom Penh (B)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way back to Phnom Penh through Chlong village. This serene village is situated on the banks of the Mekong River and boasts a blend of traditional Khmer and Colonial architecture. One of the most remarkable structures in the village is the 100 columns house, a stunning wooden house that dates back to the 19th century and is named after the numerous columns that support it. We will spend another night in Phnom Penh.
