Where is Legend Danang Golf Resort and how far is it from the airport and Hoi An?

Legend Danang Golf Resort is on the coast road, Truong Sa Street, in Ngu Hanh Son Ward, between Da Nang city centre and Hoi An. The golf travel company Golfasian lists the drive as about 20 minutes from Da Nang International Airport and about 20 minutes from Hoi An. The Marble Mountains are the nearest landmark.

One point that confuses visitors: since 1 July 2025, Quang Nam province has been merged into Da Nang City under National Assembly Resolution 202/2025/QH15. Hoi An is now administratively part of Da Nang City. Older golf guides still describe the club as "between Da Nang and Quang Nam". The courses have not moved; the map labels have. Our guide to Vietnam's restructuring from 63 to 34 provinces and cities explains the change.

What was Legend Danang Golf Resort called before?

Legend Danang Golf Resort is the same club that golfers knew as Danang Golf Club and later as BRG Da Nang Golf Resort. The Norman Course was originally named the Dunes Course. The club still uses the domain dananggolfclub.com, and many booking sites and old scorecards carry the earlier names. If you see "BRG Danang Dunes", it is today's Norman Course.

What is the difference between the Norman Course and the Nicklaus Course?

The Norman Course is a links-style course on sand dunes beside the East Sea, defended by bunkers, waste areas and wind. The Nicklaus Course is an American-style course on low ground beside the Co Co River, with lakes and wood-faced bulkheads on almost every hole. Golfers who play both usually call them opposite tests.

Host of the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang, 2022 to 2024

The club states that the Nicklaus Course is the first in Southeast Asia built with wood-faced bulkheads. The timber is treated North American hardwood, and the walls also control water on the low coastal ground.

Which course is harder, Norman or Nicklaus?

On paper the Nicklaus Course is harder from the back tees. A third-party scorecard on GolfingRecord gives the Nicklaus black tees a course rating of 75.7 and slope of 144, against 74.9 and 133 for the Norman black tees. From the white tees the two are close: 6,310 yards and slope 134 on Nicklaus, 6,212 yards and slope 133 on Norman.

In practice the answer depends on your miss. Golfers who lose balls in water score worse on Nicklaus. Golfers who struggle from sand, or in wind, score worse on Norman. Reviews on Golfasian from 2023 to 2026 split almost evenly on which course is the harder one.

How much does it cost to play Legend Danang Golf Resort?

As of October 2026, the club's published tariff, effective 1 December 2025, charges inbound visitors 4,250,000 VND on weekdays and 5,650,000 VND on weekends and public holidays for 18 holes on the Norman Course. The Nicklaus Course costs 4,400,000 VND and 5,800,000 VND. All fees include caddie fee, shared cart, taxes and service charge.

Is a caddie and a golf cart compulsory at Legend Danang?

A golf cart is compulsory for all guests at Legend Danang Golf Resort, and the club describes the Norman Course carts as mandatory electric carts. Every published green fee already includes the caddie fee and a shared cart. A golfer who wants a cart alone pays a surcharge of 590,000 VND for 18 holes at the visitor rate.

The 200,000 VND "caddie reservation fee" is a separate charge on the tariff.

Non-golfers can accompany a group on a spectator package. For 18 holes the published fee is 1,800,000 VND on weekdays and 2,300,000 VND on weekends and public holidays on the Norman Course, and 1,900,000 VND and 2,400,000 VND on the Nicklaus Course.

Can I play night golf at Legend Danang?

Night golf is played on the Nicklaus Course. Golfasian reports that all 18 Nicklaus holes are floodlit with LED lights, and the club lists a "Night Golf" promotion on its offers page. Reviewers on Golfasian describe rounds under lights in 2024 and 2025. Floodlights make a 36-hole day or a late tee time possible.

How do I book a tee time, and how early should I arrive?

Tee times are booked directly with the club by phone on +84 236 3958 111 or +84 901 950 479, by email to reservations@dananggolfclub.com, or through the booking form on dananggolfclub.com, which offers 9, 18, 27 or 36 holes on either course. Tour operators book the same tee sheet. Groups are a maximum of four golfers.

Reviews from 2024 to 2026 describe both courses as busy on weekdays and weekends, and one 2023 reviewer recorded a round of five and a half hours on the Nicklaus Course. Our advice is to ask for the earliest tee time you can manage.

What is the dress code?

As of October 2026 the club does not publish a dress code on its website. Golf clubs in Vietnam normally expect a collared shirt, tailored shorts or trousers, and soft-spike golf shoes. Pack on that basis. Golf shoes can be rented at the club for 590,000 VND per 18 holes at the visitor rate.

When is the best time of year to play golf in Da Nang?

February to August is the dry season in Da Nang and the most reliable period for golf. September to December is the rainy season, with the heaviest rain in October and November and a risk of typhoons. From May to August, heat is the main difficulty, so early tee times matter.

Course condition follows the weather. Golfasian reviewers reported greens that were patchy, sanded or recently cored in February to April of both 2025 and 2026, after the rains. Ask about the maintenance schedule before you fix dates. For month-by-month weather in each region, see our guide to the best time to visit Vietnam by region and month.

What facilities does the clubhouse have?

Both courses share one clubhouse. Golfasian describes a 4,000 square metre building with a pro shop, restaurant and rooftop lounge, a 300-yard driving range and a golf academy. The Norman Course has rest stations and rain shelters on the course. Reviewers praise the caddies more often than any other feature, and two describe the changing rooms as plain.

Where do golfers stay near Legend Danang Golf Resort?

The club's website links its "Hotel" page to Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa on Non Nuoc Beach, on the same coast road. Golfers also stay in My Khe beach hotels in Da Nang or in Hoi An, each a short drive away.
