Where is Montgomerie Links and how far is it from the airport and Hoi An?
Montgomerie Links is on the coast road between Da Nang and Hoi An, in Dien Ban Dong Ward, Da Nang City. The club gives the drive as about 20 minutes from Da Nang International Airport, 15 minutes from central Da Nang and about 15 minutes from Hoi An Ancient Town. Legend Danang Golf Resort is the neighbouring property.

The address confuses many visitors. Until 30 June 2025 the club was in Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province. Since 1 July 2025, Quang Nam has been merged into Da Nang City under National Assembly Resolution 202/2025/QH15, and the club's address is now Dien Ban Dong Ward, Da Nang City. Who designed Montgomerie Links and what kind of course is it?
Colin Montgomerie designed Montgomerie Links as a links-style course on sandy soil with wind-blown dunes, native casuarina trees and deep bunkers. It has more water than a traditional links: lakes and streams come into play on several holes. Top 100 Golf Courses dates the opening to August 2009 and currently ranks the course 11th in Vietnam.
Sources disagree on two figures. The golf travel company Golfasian lists the opening year as 2008 and the length as 7,090 yards. This article uses the club's own hole-by-hole page for yardage and Top 100 Golf Courses for the opening date.
How long is the course from each tee?
Montgomerie Links plays 7,066 yards from the Gold tees, 6,527 from the Blue, 5,787 from the White and 5,236 from the Ladies tees. Every tee is par 72, with four par 3s, ten par 4s and four par 5s. The figures come from the club's hole-by-hole page.

Which holes should I know about before I play?
Hole 7 is the hardest on the card: a 454-yard par 4 from the Gold tees, stroke index 1, with an uphill tee shot and a blind second. Hole 18 is the longest, a 588-yard par 5. The club's hole-by-hole notes single out these holes.

The club's "weekend" is longer in high season. From 1 January to 31 March 2026 the weekend rate applies from Friday to Sunday. From 1 April to 31 October 2026 it applies on Saturday and Sunday only. The rate sheet does not state the rule for November and December.

Is there a twilight rate?
Yes. As of October 2026 the club advertises a Twilight Golf offer at 1,500,000 VND for guests and 750,000 VND for members, valid until 31 December 2026. The club's rates page does not state the tee-off window or the number of holes, so ask for both when you book.
Are a caddie and a golf cart included?
A caddie and a shared cart are included in every green fee at Montgomerie Links. The club's regulations say a cart carries up to two golfers, two caddies and two bags, and that only guests aged 15 or older may drive. A golfer who wants a private cart pays 900,000 VND for 18 holes.
Carts are allowed off the paths with limits. The regulations require carts to stay at least 20 metres from tees, greens and bunkers, and after heavy rain carts may use the authorised paths only.
As of October 2026, the recommended caddie tip is 400,000 to 500,000 VND per 18 holes.
How do I book a tee time, and what are the rules on the day?
Tee times are booked by phone on +84 235 3941 942 or by email to info@montgomerielinks.com. The club requires a deposit from non-members before arrival and asks golfers to check in 30 minutes before the tee time. Tee times run about 8 minutes apart.

The first tee time is 05:40 and the last is 14:00, according to the booking site Golfsavers. Cancellation terms depend on who takes the booking: some agents allow free cancellation up to 18 days before play and charge 50% to 100% closer to the date. Ask for the terms in writing when you book.
As of October 2026, the club's published regulations do not ask visitors for a handicap certificate. Marshals may check a group's skill level and ask it to play from suitable tees during busy periods. Bring a handicap record if you have one.
What is the dress code?
The club's regulations require golf shoes and compliance with the club dress code on the course. Spectators must dress politely; high heels, slippers and evening dresses are not allowed on the course. The published regulations do not list shirt or shorts rules. A collared shirt and tailored shorts or trousers are the safe choice at any Vietnam golf club.
What practice facilities does Montgomerie Links have?
The driving range has 30 undercover bays plus grass tees, with putting greens, chipping greens and practice bunkers built to the same specification as the course. The club gives the opening hours as 05:45 to 21:00 daily. A PGA golf academy operates from the range.

What condition is the course in?
Golfers' reviews on Golfasian from 2024 to 2026 praise the caddies most often and criticise the greens most often. Several reviewers in February and March 2026 reported slow or patchy greens and areas under repair. A reviewer in April 2026 said the course was in better shape than a year earlier.
The pattern matches the weather. Central Vietnam's heaviest rain falls from October to December, and clubs repair greens in the months that follow. Ask the club about its maintenance schedule before you fix dates.
Can I stay at Montgomerie Links?
Yes. Montgomerie Links Hotel & Villas is on the course. It has Deluxe rooms of 36 to 40 square metres, Junior Suites of 60 square metres, an 80 square metre Monty Suite and a gated group of 20 three-bedroom pool villas between holes 9 and 10. Hotel guests receive 10% off golf.
