Du Gia emerges like a painting, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with stretching cornfields and winding streams.
Du Gia is a highland commune in Yen Minh district, about 70 km from Ha Giang city. On the Ha Giang travel map, Du Gia appears with a pristine picture, not yet known to many Vietnamese tourists. Visitors to Du Gia are mostly travel enthusiasts who love to conquer adventurous mountain passes. On the way to Du Gia, tourists will pass by hills with views of the Lung Ho commune valley in Yen Minh district.
The roadside scenery appears like a movie scene through the window, sometimes a small village in the valley surrounded by rice and corn fields, or towering mountains in the clouds.
The road from Meo Vac district to Du Gia is about 80 km long, with winding and winding paths. Among them, the 26 km section from Meo Vac to Sung Trai is quite challenging. On drizzly days, the road ahead is sometimes white with fog, and vehicles must drive very slowly to ensure safety.

The trekking path leads through wooden houses with thatched roofs, with dry firewood stacked in large bundles by the porch and stone walls surrounding them.
From afar, Du Gia appears small amidst the mountain ranges. You will catch glimpses of stilt houses, terraced fields, and the daily activities of the people, hidden in the morning mist, creating a hazy picture of poetic and mysterious beauty.
The homestays in Du Gia, Ha Giang, are established by the local ethnic communities to serve tourists. Here, you can comfortably eat, rest, and participate in daily activities with the host families to better understand the local lifestyle. Although not as modern as in the city, most homestays here have internet access and are fully equipped with amenities.
The local specialties here such as stream fish, native chicken, fiddlehead ferns, forest bamboo shoots, and many other dishes are waiting for you to discover.
It can be said that any season is beautiful in Ha Giang in general and Du Gia in particular. Each season offers its own different colors. However, the ideal time to visit Du Gia is in the summer. During this time, you will enjoy the lush green cornfields. Even more wonderful is the cool and fresh air from the Du Gia River winding around the village.
