The Andaman side. November is when the two coasts swap places.
Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lanta, Koh Lipe): the dry season opens and runs through to April. Seas calm down, rainfall drops, and the crowds have not arrived yet — the best combination of the year.
Gulf of Thailand (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao): now in its wet stretch, October to December, with November among the heaviest months. Leave Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao for January onwards.
