Where is Ba Na Hills Golf Club and how far is it from Da Nang?
Ba Na Hills Golf Club is at the foot of the Ba Na mountain range, west of Da Nang. The club gives the drive as 25 minutes from Da Nang International Airport and 30 minutes from the city centre. The golf travel company Golfasian places it about 15 km west of Da Nang, near the Ba Na Hills cable car station.

Who designed Ba Na Hills Golf Club and what kind of course is it?
Luke Donald, the former world number one, designed Ba Na Hills Golf Club with IMG, which manages it. The club describes it as the first and only Luke Donald-designed course in the world. It opened in 2016. Top 100 Golf Courses names Sun Group as the developer and ranks the course 6th in Vietnam.
It is a mountain course, unlike the links-style courses on the Da Nang coast. Golfasian describes a front nine through forest in parkland style and a back nine that climbs and falls across the hills, with blind shots, doglegs, streams and large hardwood trees. The greens are set at an angle to the fairways.
How long is the course from each tee?
Ba Na Hills plays 7,857 yards from the Black tees. The club's scorecard lists five tees, down to 5,173 yards from the Red tees. Every tee is par 72, with four par 3s, ten par 4s and four par 5s.

Which holes should I know about before I play?
Hole 5 is the hole golfers remember: a par 5 of 708 yards from the Black tees, stroke index 2, with a carry over water from the tee. Hole 15, a 472-yard par 4, is stroke index 1 and the hardest hole on the card. Yardages below are from the club's scorecard.

Ba Na Hills prices the green fee, caddie fee and cart fee separately, and all three are compulsory. On the club's 2026 price list, an 18-hole green fee costs 2,200,000 to 3,700,000 VND depending on season and day. The caddie fee is 800,000 VND and a shared cart is 500,000 VND per person, so add 1,300,000 VND to every 18-hole green fee.

Are a caddie and a golf cart compulsory?
Yes. The club's 2026 price list states that green fee, caddie fee and cart fee are all compulsory, and that each golfer must have their own clubs. The caddie fee is 800,000 VND for 18 holes. A cart costs 500,000 VND per person when shared and 1,000,000 VND for a golfer who takes the whole cart.
As of October 2026, the recommended caddie tip is 400,000 to 500,000 VND per 18 holes, on top of the caddie fee.
Can I play night golf at Ba Na Hills?
Yes. All 18 holes are floodlit from the first tee to the 18th green, and the club says the course is lit until 21:00 on selected days. The club calls it the only fully floodlit course in Da Nang. A late-afternoon start plays the front nine at dusk and the back nine under lights.
In summer 2026 the club ran night golf on Wednesdays and Fridays, with 18-hole tee times from 15:09 to 16:03 and 9-hole tee times from 17:06 to 18:00. That offer ended on 30 September 2026.
The club also ran a weekday "Twi-night" offer from 4 May to 30 September 2026, with tee times from 13:39 to 14:15 and the course closing at 19:00, or tee times until 15:00 and closing at 21:00 on Wednesdays. As of 9 October 2026 the club has not published a night or twilight schedule for the months after September. Ask for the current evening tee times and price when you book.
What practice facilities does the club have?
The floodlit driving range is 310 yards long with 18 covered all-weather bays, eight bunkers and five target greens. It opens from 06:30 to 18:00 every day. There are chipping and putting areas, two instruction studios and a PGA professional on site.

What are the dress code and booking rules?
The 2026 price list says "dress regulations apply" and that each golfer must have their own golf clubs. The club's website does not publish the dress rules, a handicap requirement or cancellation terms. Tee times are booked by phone on +84 236 3924 888, by email to sm@banahillsgolf.com or through the booking page on banahillsgolf.com. Groups are a maximum of four golfers.
Wear a collared shirt, tailored shorts or trousers and golf shoes, which is the standard at Vietnam's golf clubs. Ask for the cancellation terms in writing when you book.
What condition is the course in, and how hard is it?
Golfers' reviews on Golfasian from 2024 to 2026 call Ba Na Hills challenging: long holes, raised greens and steady changes in elevation. Most reviewers in 2025 and early 2026 describe the course as immaculate or well maintained, and caddies are praised for reading the greens. Reviewers in January and April 2026 found greens recently cored or sanded.
Two practical points come up repeatedly. Reviewers in April and May found the heat severe, and a reviewer in November 2025 reported long waits on the tees. An early tee time, or a late-afternoon start under the floodlights, avoids the worst of the heat.
Where can I stay and play?
The club sells a Stay & Play package with Novotel Danang Premier Han River from 6,050,000 VND per person. It covers one night in a Superior room with breakfast, one 18-hole round with caddie and shared cart, and one dish at the clubhouse restaurant. The club's page, published on 26 May 2026, gives no end date.
The club also lists Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills and InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort as partner hotels. The InterContinental is 50 minutes from the course by car.
How does Ba Na Hills compare with the other Da Nang courses?
Ba Na Hills is the only mountain course of the four and the longest from the back tees. In October 2026 its weekday cost of 3,950,000 VND per golfer, with caddie and cart added, is close to Montgomerie Links at 3,980,000 VND and below Legend Danang's Norman Course at 4,250,000 VND.

February to August is the dry season in Da Nang and the most reliable period for golf. September to December is the rainy season, with the heaviest rain in October and November and a risk of typhoons.
