Where is Hoiana Shores Golf Club and how far is it from Hoi An and Da Nang?
Hoiana Shores Golf Club is on the coast south of Hoi An, on the far side of the Cua Dai river mouth, inside the Hoiana Resort & Golf complex. The club gives the drive as 15 minutes from Hoi An Ancient Town and 45 minutes from Da Nang International Airport. Where2Golf measures it as 10 km south-east of Hoi An and 37 km south-east of Da Nang.

The resort runs a free shuttle bus between Hoiana and three pick-up points: Da Nang Airport (international and domestic terminals), Da Nang downtown and Hoi An. Seats depend on reservation and availability. The resort's shuttle hotline is +84 888 875 840.
The address changed on 1 July 2025, when Quang Nam Province merged into Da Nang City and districts were abolished. The club's address is now Duy Nghia Commune, Da Nang City. Who designed Hoiana Shores Golf Club and what kind of course is it?
Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Hoiana Shores, and the club describes it as his first course in Vietnam and Vietnam's first links-style championship course. It runs through sand dunes beside the East Sea, with views of the Cham Islands. The club's yardage book says the design was inspired by Royal County Down, Lahinch and Portmarnock.
Golfasian describes a sand-based course through dunes and casuarina trees, with TifEagle Bermuda grass on the greens and Zeon Zoysia on tees and fairways. Where2Golf counts six holes beside the beach. Top 100 Golf Courses notes one local detail: lanterns replace flags on the pins, a reference to Hoi An's lantern streets.

Hoiana Shores Golf Club has five tee options, and all play to par 71. The Black tees measure 7,004 yards, with a course rating of 73.3 and a slope of 136. The Red tees measure 5,442 yards. The White tees are rated separately for men and for ladies.

Which holes should I know about before I play?
The last three holes run along the coast and are the ones the club itself features: the par-4 16th, the par-3 17th and the par-5 18th. Every hole has a name in the club's yardage book, and a short 19th hole next to the 18th green is used to settle bets.

How much does it cost to play Hoiana Shores Golf Club?
Hoiana Shores publishes one all-inclusive rate per golfer, not a separate green fee, caddie fee and cart fee. From 1 October to 31 December 2026 the rate is 7,500,000 VND. From 1 January to 30 September 2027 it is 9,000,000 VND. The rates page shows the same price for weekdays and weekends.

The rates page does not list a 9-hole rate, a twilight rate or rental prices. Twilight tee times, 9-hole rounds and rental clubs and shoes are priced by the club on request. Ask for the price in writing when you book.
Are a caddie and a golf cart included, and can I walk?
Yes. The club's rate includes a private caddie for each golfer and a shared golf cart, and caddies are compulsory. The usual caddie tip is 400,000 to 500,000 VND per 18 holes, paid in cash directly to the caddie. The tip is not included in the rate.
Every published rate includes a shared cart, and the club does not publish a walking policy. Ask the golf desk before you book if you want to walk the course.
What are the tee times, booking rules and cancellation terms?
Tee times are booked on the club's booking site, golf.hoiana.com, by email to reservations.golf@hoiana.com or by phone on +84 235 858 7888. Online bookings take a maximum of eight players; larger groups book by phone. The cancellation charge is 50% inside ten days of the tee time and 100% inside five days.

What is the dress code at Hoiana Shores Golf Club?
The club's dress code asks for smart, suitable clothing from golfers, visitors and spectators. It bans five things: sleepwear or tank tops, bikinis or swimwear, jeans or denim on the course, high heels, and flip-flops or bare feet on the course. The document does not mention collared shirts or spikes.
A collared shirt, tailored shorts or trousers and golf shoes meet the rule and are the standard at Vietnam's golf clubs.

The club's website describes a 6,000 m² clubhouse with 160 full-length lockers for men and 60 for women, a pro shop and two places to eat: 1552 Bistro, with Vietnamese, Western and Chinese dishes, and Shores Café. The golf academy has an indoor teaching studio and an outdoor driving range.

What condition is the course in, and how hard is it?
Golfers' reviews on Golfasian from 2024 to 2026 describe Hoiana Shores as immaculate and difficult, with wind as the main defence. Caddies are praised. The complaints are about price, slow play on some days and the quality of the range balls. Top 100 Golf Courses ranks it 2nd in Vietnam and 13th in Asia.
It is a links course with no trees to block the wind on the coastal holes. Scores change a lot between a calm morning and a windy afternoon. An early tee time usually means less wind and less heat.
Where can I stay and play?
Hoiana Resort & Golf lists four places to stay in the complex: New World Hoiana Beach Resort, New World Hoiana Hotel, Hoiana Hotel & Suites and Hoiana Residences. The resort sells Stay & Play packages with one night's room, breakfast, one 18-hole round with shared cart and private caddie, 25 range balls and transfers between hotel and course.

The same page shows validity dates that end on 30 September 2026, so confirm the price for your dates before you book. Package cancellations more than seven days before arrival are refunded in full; later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.
The resort also sells a two-night package, the Hoiana Signature Golf Escape, with a Deluxe Ocean View Room, one round, a lunch at 1552 Bistro and one airport transfer.
Hoi An Ancient Town is 15 minutes away, so golfers who prefer to stay in Hoi An can do so without a long transfer.

Hoiana Shores is the most expensive course in the Da Nang area. Its October 2026 rate of 7,500,000 VND is close to double the weekday cost at Montgomerie Links or Ba Na Hills, and almost three times Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An, which is under 10 km away. It is also the highest-ranked of the five.

When is the best time of year to play Hoiana Shores?
